Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

FT, weekdays with weekend rotation per unit standard. Holidays per unit policy.

Join the Wilmot Cancer Institute's Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy (SCT & CT) team in a Full-Time, Ambulatory (Outpatient) Registered Nurse role, leading specialized care in one of oncology's most innovative and rapidly advancing fields. This position demands a highly skilled and empathetic clinician to administer cutting-edge treatments like CAR-T therapy and high-dose chemotherapy, perform complex cellular therapy infusions, and manage the unique toxicities inherent to this specialized patient population. You will utilize your strong analytical thinking to triage acute symptoms and deliver comprehensive patient and caregiver education on complex pre- and post-transplant regimens, requiring a minimum of one year of acute care RN experience. Prior oncology, hematology, or critical care experience is strongly preferred. This crucial role operates primarily weekdays with a required weekend rotation and adherence to unit holiday policy, ensuring the delivery of hope through expert clinical innovation.
