About This Role
The Nurse Manager for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital is responsible for overseeing patient care and nursing activities in the outpatient unit. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong management and organizational skills who is customer-oriented and has a proven track record in achieving desired outcomes.

What You'll Do
ā¢Maintain 24-hour accountability for patient care and nursing activities.
ā¢Oversee and direct unit activities including standards development and human resource management.
ā¢Assess resource needs and utilization, and facilitate staff development.
ā¢Participate in performance improvement activities and committees at all levels.
ā¢Collaborate with the OMFS Department Chair to organize systems for patient care.
ā¢Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and interpret policies.
ā¢Provide oversight for clinical staff and patient care procedures.
ā¢Work within the practice for moderate/deep IV sedation and non-sedation procedures.
Requirements
Education:
ā¢Bachelorās Degree required, Masterās Degree preferred (to be obtained within 5 years)
Experience:
ā¢Proven management experience in a fast-paced environment
Licenses & Certifications:
ā¢Active NYS RN License
ā¢ACLS and PALS required within one year of hire
