Performs as a circulating RN in the OR Ability to scrub a variety of services in the OR. Circulating and scrubbing operating room cases and exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values acting in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures. Provides consistent day to day leadership and clinical expertise on the unit that drives customer service, quality, and the Patient Experience. Participates in the Clinical Advancement Program and is an active member of the unit leadership team.
Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience in an acute care specialty area.
Two years cardiac circulating nurse experience with the ability to scrub all cases performed at primary location. Ability to take call with cardiac nurses and/or cardiac surgical technologist based on unit need. Must be willing to circulate and scrub non-cardiac cases based on cardiac case volume.
Monday - Friday Days/eves with call, weekends and holidays per unit needs with call responsibility.
