About This Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department provides clinical leadership and management during the night shift, ensuring excellence in patient care and staff development in alignment with the institution's goals.

What You'll Do
•Foster a culture embedded in NYULH's mission to serve, teach, and discover.
•Collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure quality and efficiency.
•Develop positive relationships across disciplines to achieve shared goals.
•Support a positive work environment founded on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
•Engage and recognize staff meaningfully.
•Evaluate performance and assess practice of designated personnel.
•Serve as a role model and resource for staff.
•Monitor staff attendance and ensure appropriate staffing for patient safety.
•Provide direct patient care as needed to support clinical operations.
•Communicate significant patient care issues to leadership.
Requirements
Education:
•Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required
Experience:
•2 years of experience required
Licenses & Certifications:
•Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State
•Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
•Certification in nursing leadership required upon eligibility
