What You'll Do
•Collect patient health data involving patients, families, and healthcare providers.
•Perform initial assessments based on patient presentation.
•Record relevant data on the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Admission Assessment.
•Conduct ongoing assessments as established by department policy.
•Incorporate discharge planning into the admission process.
•Develop and communicate a plan of care that prescribes interventions.
•Provide education to patients and families based on identified learning needs.
•Collaborate with the interdisciplinary health team to meet patient needs.
Requirements
Education:
•Completion of a two-year training at an accredited School of Nursing
Experience:
•1 year of nursing experience in preoperative, perioperative, or post-anesthesia care preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
•Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse
•BLS certification required
•ACLS preferred
