What You'll Do
•Collect patient health data involving patients, families, and healthcare providers.
•Perform initial assessments based on patient presentations.
•Record relevant data on the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Admission Assessment.
•Demonstrate awareness of the special needs of diverse age groups and cultures.
•Conduct ongoing assessments as established by department policy.
•Incorporate discharge planning into the admission process.
•Analyze assessment data to identify problems and expected outcomes.
•Communicate expected outcomes to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Requirements
Education:
•Completion of a two-year training at an accredited School of Nursing
Experience:
•1 year of nursing experience in oncology or infusion nursing care preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
•Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse
•BLS certification required
•ACLS certification preferred
•TCAR Certification preferred
