What You'll Do
•Administers medication and parenteral therapy according to policy.
•Documents patient assessment and progress accurately and timely.
•Promotes patient safety and quality, adhering to National Patient Safety Goals.
•Establishes priorities for patient care delivery using critical thinking.
•Provides patient/family education and assists in discharge planning.
•Communicates and collaborates effectively with the healthcare team.
•Establishes effective caring relationships with patients and families.
•Demonstrates knowledge and skills for age-related criteria in nursing care.
Requirements
Education:
•Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
Experience:
•Recent 1 year Med/Surg experience required
•Critical care experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
•Registered Nurse License-NYS
•BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
•ACLS required within 3 months
•PALS required within 6 months
•TNCC required within 1 year
