What You'll Do

•Supervise utilization management in accordance with the Hospital Utilization Review Plan.
•Coordinate and maintain programs/processes for daily operations of the Case Management Department.
•Provide in-service educational updates for staff development.
•Participate in the development of policies and procedures for the Case Management Department.
•Oversee departmental quality performance improvement programs.
•Facilitate interdisciplinary health care team communication and coordinate case conferences.
•Provide guidance and support to staff regarding progression of care management.

Requirements

Education:

•Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience:

•3 - 5 years in acute care clinical patient care, utilization management, discharge planning, and insurance denial management

Licenses & Certifications:

•Current and valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse license
•BLS certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA)
•NYS DOH certification as a Patient Review Instrument (PRI) Assessor
